LTTR is the name of a feminist genderqueer artist collective originally based in New York. In the early 2000s, the group engaged with ambitious editorial work and knowledge gathering which among other things resulted in a series of performances, readings and an annual journal. The journal—half work of art, half political event, took on a new guise for each number, LTTR consists of Ginger Brooks Takahashi, K8 Hardy, Ulrike Müller and Emily Roysdon. Capricious proudly published their final journal, LTTR V.

The exhibition, Here We LTTR: 2002–2008, includes the group’s five journals as well as photographs and other documentation material from the scene and movement that LTTR arose from. A series of personal presentations of the exhibition will be made by local and international guests connected to LTTR and queer art, activism, and research. Artists Allison Smith and Matts Leiderstam, writer and asylum rights activist Trifa Shakely, researcher Ulla Manns, and theorist and author Paul B. Preciado are some of the invited presenters.

Most of the above text is from Tensta Konsthall. The exhibition runs from May 23 until September 27. For more on the event, take a look at LTTR’s official website or Tensta Konsthall‘s event page.
